I had decided to build a retro 302 chevy eng for a gasser project. To stay period correct I had bought a pair of OE, SBC, Z28 aluminum valve covers I found at a swap meet (the most money I ever paid for used valve covers). To my surprise when I tried to install, they would not clear the poly locks on the CC roller tip rocker arms. These extra thick VC gaskets saved the day and let the old covers clear the poly locks. I was afraid I was going to have to get different valve covers, whew!
