Starting the bolts in the bladder top can sometimes be tricky... Get some 1/4 inch sae bolts about 3 inches long and cut the heads off. Insert these in opposing corners of the tank top and screw them into the bladder top threaded retaining holes. Now slide over your pilot studs (provided separately) gasket and fuel lid assembly. Pulling up on your studs will allow easier installation of the retaining bolts. Install them all before you tighten the first one in a criss-cross pattern to about 8 lbs. ft.
