Kept me in my seat
I have a 1980 Dode Ramcharger i just did a frame off restoration on. The original lap belts were frayed and worn out. To get is legal and pass inspection i knew i needed some functional seat belts. I was searching for a set of non retractable lap belts to install and leave under the seats. I found these nice retractable belts and realized they wold be out of the way when not worn but actually available if someone wanted to buckle up. b3 points for less than the cost of the lap belts i wanted. I was able To bolt them right in. They went unused until last night. The wife and I were returning home from visiting friends when a snow storm snuck up on us. With the change in condition I suggested that we should buckle up. The wife who never belts up agreed and buckled up as well too. When we got home the wife commented how nice the belts were and how safe it felt. Glad we had them even happier we ddid not test them

Ratchets down
With every bump in the road the seat belt ratchets tighter and tighter. if you bounce a bit in the seat, You then need to unhook the seatbelt and readjust.
