Looks good on the outside
The fuel filter looked good from the outside. I had trouble installing the fuel fittings and I had to run a tap into the housing to clean up the threads. After doing this I opened the filter to make sure no shavings had got inside the filter. That is when I found the inside of the housing full of dirt and junk that was left over from the plating process. If you purchase this filter, make sure you take it apart and inspect it before you install it.

Can this filter be used before my mechanical fuel pump ( small block chevy ) . I intend to put it on a frame rail between the gas tank and the fuel pump.It would be hard line installed on the frame rail . The instructions say put it between the pump and the carb . Help Help Ron
