The Adjustable Monotube Racing Shock for Serious Racers
Lap after lap, race after race, you need racing shocks that can take the abuse and come back for more. You need high-performance shocks that are dependable with plenty of tuning ability, and of course fully rebuildable so that you can adjust your racing shocks as needed for your racing program or fully rebuild them in the off season to prepare for another year of racing. PRO Shocks’ GC series of monotube aluminum body adjustable shocks are just what you’re after. With a 1.63-inch diameter coilover ready threaded body that uses a base valve design that requires less gas pressure than a traditional monotube shock, a standard hard chrome 1/2-inch shock shaft, adjustable valving and fully rebuildable by an authorized PRO rebuilding facility, the GC series of racing shocks offers racers true value for their racing program. Add in the ability to choose from either compression or rebound single adjustment with 30-38 clicks of range and the option of a linear/linear or double digressive piston, and you have the makings of the perfect race shock.
The lower gas pressures used in a base valve monotube shock is often half of what a traditional monotube shock would use. This lower gas pressure produces less shaft force, allowing the shock to react more quickly and smoothly. PRO Shocks uses a three-piece piston and base valve design that manages the shock’s oil more precisely, preventing cavitation and oil foaming while minimizing hysteresis. These lower pressures also produce less extension force, or preload, on the shock itself. The aluminum body is more tolerant of thermal load, shedding the shock oil’s heat more quickly than a steel body shock, while providing lower unsprung weight.
Multiple Compression, Rebound, and Stroke Lengths Available
PRO Shocks’ GC series racing shocks are not a one-size fits most product. Offered in either compression or rebound adjustment, with double-digressive or linear-linear piston options, along with stroke lengths of 5- to 8-inches to provide the precise shock specifications your racing program needs. These compression and rebound options also allow you to update your shocks as your setup changes versus buying all new shocks, saving your racing budget. These threaded-body aluminum racing shocks are perfect for dirt and asphalt open wheel racing programs like 305 Sprints, 410 Sprints, Midget, Micro Sprint, and much more.
