Details

If you like traditional looks and modern performance, you’re gonna love this cool Flathead 1-wire alternator. It has the look of an original generator, but is really a 12-volt, negative-ground alternator that produces 65 amps at idle and 75 amps going down the road.

Designed to fit 1939-1948 Ford & Mercury Cars and 1939-1947 Ford Trucks with Flathead V8s. These feature a simple one-wire hookup and are available in black or polished aluminum.

Powermaster's warranty is one year from the date of purchase on all street rod components, and 90 days for any component use for an off road or race application.

Powermaster will provide technical support regarding warranty claims and inquiries directly to the purchaser to help resolve any warranty claims or necessary technical support for warranty resolution. Component or components can be returned to Speedway Motors as long as the product is still under warranty.

All customer service inquiries pertaining to warranty and defect claims are to be handled by Speedway Motors if under one year street or 90 days race. If the product is out of warranty please contact Powermaster direct to discuss their repair and return program.

Easy change out of old 12V neg grn Ford generator. Internal requlator negates need for old style box. Lightweight aluminum is nice benefit. Polished finish is really good.

I used the black version to better match my 1938 Ford Pickup engine. I was concerned that it might not charge at idle or low rpm's as I had read that was a problem with many one wire alternator's. This alternator is very easy to install and it performs wonderfully. It charges very well at idle and low rpms. It puts out the charge required when the lights are turned on or I use the heater or puller cooling fan. It keeps the system charged. I am extremely pleased with it.

Do you sell the v belt for the generator?

Do you have one with a internal regulator and what about changing the 6 volt coil on top of the dist with a 12 volt coil? Is it neg. ground? I can take care of the gauges and the bulbs. Then I'll need a 12 volt solenoid for the Columbia 2 speed axel. Right?

Do you have this in a black finish like the original generator? The specs say 7" length. Is that from the very back (bearing cap) to front of pully? Will the bracket mount on a standard 1940 block. How about a 1947 block also? (I think they are the same, but am not positive). Please include item #'s if available & pricing.
