BEST WAY TO INSTALL A TYPE II PUMP ON YOUR BUILD
I WAS LOOKING FOR A TYPE II P.S. PUMP THAT HAD THE V-BELT PULLEY, REMOTE RESERVOIR AND MOUNT. THIS HAD IT ALL AND THE PRICE WAS ACCEPTABLE FOR THE KIT. SAVED ME THE HASSLE OF LOOKING FOR ALL THE PARTS SEPARATELY.

My 400 chevy block is not drilled/tapped to mount this on the drivers side but is on the passenger side. This would flip the pump upside down putting the outlet pointing down. Would this be an issue for the pump?

I have a 1970 Camaro Pro street with a high horsepower big block Dart Big M 572 cubic inch that I drag race and drive on the street, redline on the rev limiter is 7800 rpm. right now I have a flaming river manual steering box and I want to convert back to power steering, I know I have to change the steering box. my question is will this unit work driven from the crank since I have an electric water pump. I believe the pulley is 6 inch dual V belt that currently drives the alternator. A stock Saginaw steering pump couldn't handle the high rpm.
