My 1954 V-8 Chevy 3100 pickup sits & rides fine.

30 years ago when I converted from a closed drive line to an open I set up my rear-end housing mounting to allow for the offset thus not needing to change the springs. Well after several years of running the modified 235 cu in six cylinder with a Muncie 4-speed I converted to a SBC 327 and a turbo 400. When I retired a few years ago I started another idea with the pickup and built a mild 340 hp 327 with tri-power & borg warner t-5 speed. In this process I installed new Posie super slide in the front along with power disc brakes and power steering thus keeping the original axle. When measuring for the drive shaft I took a good look at the rear springs which were very tired so the posie super slides were ordered for the rear. I was going to use the same rear-end with my modified mountings, I didn't need the posie offsets. They worked well together. Thank You Speedway

Not the Right Application

These springs are for trucks with a stock rear axle, the description did not mention that. I have a late model rear axle that has pads on the axle. This spring pack moves my rear axle 3" forward from where is should be. There is another part number for the rigt spring, but it is not available online or in the catalog. We are working with Posies to get the right spring. This has put us 4 weeks out on our project and we still dont have the right springs yet. The description does not say anything about the fact that this is for stock rear axles only.

I had no issues installing Posies Super Slide Springs. The bare rear aligned easily before welding on the axle brackets and all the associated Posies and Speedway spring parts fit perfectly.
