The ends of the spring leaves of a Super Slide™ spring have a unique "dimple" shape that retains a moly-nylon button which works as a dry lubricant to stop leaf-to-leaf interference. This freedom from friction lets the spring move more easily, thereby giving a softer, quieter ride.

Great quality for perfect

Fit perfectly I used the recommended shackles and only lowered my car maybe 1/4 inch I'm guessing the 3 inch drop is from factory new spring mine being 80 plus years old it was probably already lowered. I index up removing the top spring to lower it another 1/4. Also shackles are verticle now not 45 degrees so had to had a track bar

I bought it because there are no spring shops near me where I could get a reversed eye main leaf. The spring is twice the rate of the stocker so I removed two leaves to get it down to within 80 pounds of original. It does not lower the car 3 inches, probably less than an inch. But by removing a couple of leaves it did come down about an inch and a half. I'm good with that. The one thing that bothered me was the catalog says you have to use posies shackles to get the full three inch drop. So I bought them and they are the same length as my originals. I sent them back and ordered a set of bushings that fit the spring eyes and reused my original shackels. Just a day in the life of a hot rodder. I wish you sold one inch longer shackels, I'll make some for me but it would help a guy without the machines to do it.

Could I use the posies S.S.2100 on my stock 1940 ford? I want a 3inch drop My spring that is on the car now is 41 inches from spring eye center line to spring eye center line, with the weight of the car pressing down on the spring. When I take it off the spring should relax some i.e. 39 or 40 in. My spring perch boss center line to C/L is 39 , 39 1/2 in. best I can tell. Can I take any leafs out to get the drop I want or can Posies do it for me or what? I'm at a loss here..Can you please help me with my 1940 Ford deluxe named " Bear"....
