I'm a engine builder and we have many engines around that we keep as examples of our work, or just engines we have rebuilt and collect. These Engine Storage bags are a great way to keep an assembled engine clean, protected and safe. I have used the "Regular" purple Speedway engine bags before, and have always been extremely happy with what they bring to the table. I thought I would try one of the new black engine bags, and see how it compares. Both are very good, and basically the same except for color and graphics...but the black bag feels thicker... If you have an engine worth protecting, then it should be in one of these. The plastic bags have there place, basically to cover and protect the engine while being built. But once that is done, these are what's needed. The bag is large enough for any V-8 engine I can think of, even the large/wide hemi and 4-valve Modular engines. We have used them on supercharged engines both roots and centrifugal, and had plenty of room to cover the engine and its accessories. Even a few single turbo engine were able to make it under the bag! Yes I agree the price seems high, but really for what you get and for what you have to lose, it's a bargain. I'm even thinking of including one of these with every engine we build. Wonderful product, well built, heavy duty and offer a great deal of protection to your engine. We use them around the shop, but I could very well see them in a garage covering a new engine while the vehicle is worked on. Used in trailers to store extra engines in competition. Or to just cover a display at a trade show, event or at home .
