The inspiration for "Orbit" came from the the '30's - '40's Ford horn button design. But repeating rings were a very popular design theme by a number of auto builders. Got twin 4's with real tight spacing? The selection of air cleaners for you has been pretty slim, right? Many manifolds out there position the carbs with only 6-7/16" center to center. This variation features a 1/4" offset base to deal with this problem - a simple solution to an old issue. If spacing this tight isn't your problem, we have a straight base also 247-4460. If running twin carbs, check your center to center spacing. We use our Platinum Series air filter with A-356 aircraft grade castings for a quality product. The filter media is a medium gray, washable oiled cloth. Hardware furnished includes a stainless socket drive top screw. Diameter 6-3/4" - Height 4-1/2". Fits carbs with the typical 5" base.
