I bought my column before I know about the replica steering wheel. Had to take off the 3inch color to put steering wheel onto the shaft. After doing so, shifter was right against the wheel.Wasn't able to shift gears. I had to buy a shifter handle from the late 60's and bend it to work. Speedway has a column made that is compatible with the wheel in a package deal.
