Details
Our Mustang II springs come in rates from 275 thru 425 and in 13.5” free height/length. They will require cutting to the necessary length on the majority of applications. For the heavier vehicles such as full size pickup trucks and fat fendered cars the spring rate used will normally be in the 350-400 range. With Small Block and automatic a common rate is 375 to 400 and with the addition of A/C or a big block you will need to compensate for the additional weight and go to the next higher rate. Frame boxing and plating, accessories, and fuel tank size all play a part in selecting spring rate. When vehicle is sitting at ride height ready for test drive the lower control arms should be parallel with the ground or pointing down at a slight angle on the outer ends. The springs will settle some in the first couple of hundred miles so allowance for this should be made.

The product, Mustang II suspension springs, have high-quality material and practicality. They are versatile for various vehicle models, like '53 Ford, '55 Studebaker, and '47 Ford and provide excellent ride quality. Users have complimented that they can customize the product according to their needs by trimming the spring, which improves lower control arm orientation and ride height. The springs offer a solution for front-end height issues, enhancing the appearance and driving experience. The product's superior features also include durability, safety, and affordability in contrast to competitors. Some customers wished they had chosen a different spring rate for a softer ride but overall, most users would repurchase and recommend them for their superior use and performance.

Mustang 2 front coil springs
Chose the 400lb coil springs for my 1935 Dodge Business coupe. Coils were 2" taller than the existing coils that were cut to short. They raised the front of the car 5 additional inches. I feel they were the right weight rating for my car because the car just began to raise off the jack stands when they fully compressed as I attached the spindle. I will probably cut some off the coil to lower the car after driving the vehicle some. When I shorten the coil length, I will use the 1 to 2 rule. Example 1" shorter gives 2" drop. I will most likely start with 1/2" shorter coil length to drop 1" and monitor the change. Better to cut it once or twice or three times and get the stance and a-arms in there correct working angle. Nice powder coating and quick shipping.

I put some stock Mustang II springs in my F100 front end. Within a year they were sagging by 3 inches. I put these 400 pound springs in to help keep the front end from dropping. The stance has been restored and it rides better now since it has more travel.
