Moroso 26150 Details
Eliminates oil pump bind and spark scatter when using a distributor in an engine with milled heads or decks. Shims fit between the intake manifold and your distributor allowing you to properly set gear mesh. Made from leak-free, high impact nylon.

Used in conjunction with the gear shim kit this can prevent damage to the gear on the distributor and the gear on the cam shaft. While it is a Chevrolet part this can also be used for AMC engines and they are prone to this type of damage if the distributor drive gear is improperly installed. When inspected, a dab of grease placed on the distributor drive gear will show if the gear is too tight and if so re shim the gear to distributor or the distributor to engine spacing to correct things.

Assumed they would fit all GM units. Inside diameter too small for my 500 Caddy. Material good, different thicknesses good. Got my distributor mesh good after opening up inside diameter.
