they work, but could be better
These brackets do work well for their intended purpose, and they are very robust and strong. The only problem with them is how the mounting holes are drilled. It would work so much better if they were angled inward instead of being straight. (because it seats against a curved surface) It is just about impossible to adequately tighten the nuts inside of the light housing because of this. If the holes were angled inwards, the nuts and washers would seat against the inside surface of the lamps, but because they are straight, the nut will not seat evenly, only at an angle, which makes it impossible to tighten them all the way. so they work but could have a somewhat better design

buy these all the time for the past 11 years but 1 out of 5 have lines in the chrome because of deep scratches in the brass that get chromed over poor quality control
