Magnetic Drain Plug
I have been using these Magnetic Drain Plugs for many years. Many times have found little metal traces on the magnet. Where would they be without the plug? This is a very good product. Cost is very cheap also.

Good News and Bad News
The good news is that its physical appearance was satisfactory and it fit fine. The bad news is that the magnet was very weak. The physical purpose of the drain plug is to contain the oil. The purpose of the magnetic tip is to magneticly attract every bit of floating ferrous metal in the maelstrom of the hot oil pan during normal use. The weak magnet makes it marginal at best. There is a magnet there, but it ain't much of a magnet.

Time will tell… hopefully I never see anything attached to the magnet. Added a copper crush washer to the sump plug, no weeping at all…
