I put these on a ford 8 inch rear which measures 2 7/8 inches. You just need to put them in vise end to end and squeeze them They fit nice and tight

Nice precut 3/8" thick laser perfect bracket. I could make my own but for the price it's worth the time and sweat saved. I did make my own rear ladder bars, and this longer style worked just right.
