This C10 disc brake kit is just what you need to ditch the factory drums while maintaining the OEM six lug’s 6 on 5.5-inch wheel bolt pattern on the 1963-1970 C10 pickup. While 1971 debuted factory front disc brakes and a swap to a five-lug pattern, you can most certainly opt for our six-lug spindle and disc brake kit offerings for your 71-87 C10 project’s LevelSet™ IFS install as well if you’re looking to be different or have a killer set of six lug wheels already that you’re looking to use.

A Bolt-On Front Disc Brake Conversion for Your 63-87 C10 With LevelSet™ IFS

If you’re considering our LevelSet™ IFS system for your C10 or C15 pickup you know that the included spindles feature a modern cartridge hub bearing design and use a strong 4140 steel forged upright. Due to the design of these spindles stock 1971 and later disc brakes are not compatible with these spindles. As such, we’ve developed both a 5-lug disc kit and this 6-lug C10 disc brake conversion kit to keep your front suspension upgrade project moving forward. You won’t have to fabricate or modify the stock disc brakes to get them to work with your LevelSet™ suspension upgrade and obviously for those 63-70 trucks ditching the ancient front drum brakes is a must for modern safety.

Beginning with the kit’s 12.19-inch disc brake rotors, you can see that this C10 front brake kit is designed for effective stopping power in an easy to install kit. The rotors are fully vented cast iron construction to reduce brake fading from excessive heat. The rotors pair perfectly with our popular GM Metric disc brake caliper. These Metric calipers feature a large 2.375-inch single piston for generous clamping force, while the fluid port has been machined to accept standard SAE 7/16-20 threaded brake hoses or banjo fittings instead of the OEM metric brake hoses, providing a much wider selection of hoses and fittings availability for plumbing your new brake system. Street performance D154 disc brake pads, caliper mounting brackets, and all hardware required to install the C10 disc brake kit onto your LevelSet™ spindles are included in our C10 brake upgrade kit.
