This "Gate Saver" or Tailgate Assist Shock/Strut 1973-1980 GMC Chevy Truck adds a little bit of modern luxury to your classic C10 truck. The Gate saver works to slow the tailgate opening action allowing your tailgate to open freely after unlatching. You can now have a tailgate that opens, closes and latches like a brand new Chevy pickup.

• Fits 1973 - 1980 Chevy / GMC Squarebody C10 Trucks
• Minor Trimming of the tailgate and an M8 tap are required for install.
• Kit Inludes: Dampener, LS Fab Stainless Support Bracket, (2) balls studs, and jam nut for an easy install
