    Installed in a 1949 Mercury Convertible with a C-4 automatic transmission. Your kit is for an IDIDIT steering column to a C-4. You also need a horseshoe fitting available from IDIDIT if you use a Ford Co. steering column to the C-4. I had to order that part. Also, I think you should point out that you need to remove the Neutral/Safety switch to use this Cable Shift Linkage which means you can start the car in any gear. I'm the only driver so I don't have a problem. I do like the system.

    Do you have this for a 2" column? I have a C-4 Automatic and need this cable design so my brake lever will clear. I need one for a 2" column though.

    will this work on a C-6 transmission? I am building a 53 F-100. it has a 390 fe and a C-6 auto trans. and aftermarket gm style column shifted steering column. my brake pedal gets in the way of a hard linkage. im hoping to find a cable linkage that will work.
