The engineering purpose behind Hooker's newest band clamps is to provide ease of use while creating a tight seal that avoids exhaust leaks which plague many other less quality clamping devices. Designed for slip fit exhaust, the clamp clenches down on the outside tubing and creates a solid leak-free connection. I changed up my exhaust this year didn't want to weld the mufflers on to give me better adjustability and in the event I ever wanted to change the mufflers, these clamps would make it easier. They give a simple clean look and seal tight with no leaks.
