The LS pump has twice the pressure of the original Miata pump. Steering was exceptionally twitchy. This valve greatly improved the steering, and made the car driveable

This valve can be a lifesaver in some cases. You can come from very little pressure, up to the feel you want and not hurt your rack because of excess pressure from your steering pump. it makes for a neat compact solution for a common issue. SUPER!

Does this work for a system with a steering box ? I saw another site that was selling this or something similar to it and they advertised that it only worked for a rack and pinion system.
