My headlights are much brighter now!
Bought two kits. One for my '56 F-100 and one for my '68 Camaro. I always had problems with dim headlights after converting them to H4 as well as dimmer and headlight switch problems. Its a night and day difference. All the plugs are there and very easy to hook up. I wish the power leads were longer in order to reach the solenoid instead of the battery but that was no biggie.

I'm saving the kit instead of returning it only because I managed to break a flimsy plastic tab in a misguided attempt to mount the relay using a drill/driver set to too high torque. If you're using on a vehicle that has open access to the rear of the headlights where the prongs on bulb plug into the wire sockets, the kit will work, and requires less understanding of electricity and wiring relays than just using relays and your own wiring system. But for my '40 Ford, with a small hole in inner fender and another small hole in back of headlight bucket the sockets won't pass thru the holes and cutting and splicing are required, creating a potential trouble spot. Additionally, the use of fusible link wire instead of an inline fuse holder is inexcusable, and could be a real headache to find the replacement fusible link and splicing it in versus simply changing a fuse.. No I don't recommend this item.

I love the quality of the product product would have worked fine but I did modify it to connect from my driver side headlight and I removed the fusible links and added an inline fuse

You said to fix the lights so I can run halogen seal beam on my 64 Chevy C10 work great easy to install did change feasible links to a fuse hurt easily repairment if needed in the backcountry

Installed it on my Prostreet 68 camaro what a difference it has made! I have a trunk mounted battery and i have a positive lead junction block where my alternator voltage regulator use to be on the drivers side radiator support so i mounted the positive headlamps harness leads to it there and the relays in that area and connected the harness plug to the drivers side headlight plug then routed to the passenger side which the lenght of the harness was great. Not only are my headlights alot brighter but every light on the car is brighter and the blinkers blink consistently and faster. They never did before. The harness kit was a true plug and play i did not have to modify anything. Even if i had a battery in its factory location on the passenger side it would still be a plug and play setup. Now i have to order a kit for my squarebody!

Used for a headlight wiring upgrade for an old CJ7. This product is all you really need, everything is pre-wired and ready to be installed and at a decent price. The connectors are a little chinsy, but work fine, some di-electric grease will help here.The install went well and only slight modifications were needed, shortened some wires and added blade-type fuses. The schematic included is alright, but it may be useful to have a factory wiring diagram handy to reference the vehicle side wiring. Definitely a welcomed upgrade for night driving.

Initially on install only 1 headlight worked. Used meter to probe non working light and got voltage only on one power lead. I swapped plugs on the relays and all works fine. Dash lights are much brighter as are the Halogen headlights

I connected the relay as suggested. The passenger side is very dim. It's a new bulb, same as other side. It's the side closest to the battery. The drivers side is bright. Please help!

I purchased this product and have not been able to use it yet. The red terminals that go to battery won't allow the positive battery to connect the bolt isn't long enough due to the connector on your red wires. The other issue is that when I did have it connected (red wires temporarily connected not properly) the lights came on with the switch off. Please advise.
