These stainless steel braided power steering hose kits will connect 1984-88 T-Bird and 1979-93 Mustang racks to most Ford or GM style internal reservoir power steering pumps. The hoses provide a custom look without the need to buy any additional parts. This kit is designed for drivers side pumps and may require hoses to be trimmed to length.
Note: This hose kit is NOT applicable to the OEM 1974-1978 Mustang II power rack assembly that utilizes inverted flare fittings. If you have this application, this hose kit is not applicable to your project.
The kit includes:
- (2) 24" stainless steel braided hoses with 90° ends installed (rack end)
- (1) Banjo bolt assembly for the pressure connection to the pump with 5/8" or 16mm threads
- (1) Custom clamp cover for the return hose which connects to a hose nipple on the pump
- Rack fittings in this kit are an o-ring design and are one each, 5/8"-18, and one each, 9/16"-18

great product....and worth yhe cost
would like to say how pleased I am with your GOTTA SHOW power steering hose kit,...I tried to use the "cheaper kit"....and could never get them to seal properly, and they are really hard to try and route them where you want them, (really stiff) these S/S braided hoses are much easier to work with, and the design on the fittings are great ! and more important....they seal the first time....the cheaper set I had on and off 4-times, and they still leaked,....the extra $40 bucks for the ''good stuff' " reinforces the old saying...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Easy and cheap to use but quality limite
An easy way to solve an expensive problem...the only thing is the quality. One of the fittings came with radius cracks all around the sealing area. The best thing was that i got it from Speedway, and they took care of me instantly, with no problems and no delays. If you need one, go for it, just make sure you check it out well before you install it.

GM Gen II pump to a Mustang II Rack. The Rack fittings were easy install. The Banjo fitting sleeve contacts the pump housing on the GM Gen II pump. I ended up filing off the underside of the Banjo fitting sleeve to get a good seal. This doesn't affect the performance of the stainless line or the looks.

It failed on me even after I called and spoke to a tech. I followed their instructions as the printed version was not very descriptive. The high pressure line build was disastrous. You have cured me though. I will never try to build one again.
