The Gen 3 LS front cover fits all Gen 3 LS engines, both car and truck applications, with factory rear mounted camshaft sensor. The Gen 4 version has the factory mounting provision for its front mounted camshaft sensor and is for non-VVT engines (no opening for the VVT phaser solenoid), making our Gen 4 LS front cover the perfect addition to a non-VVT camshaft swap. Both LS timing covers include a pre-installed crankshaft oil seal, but you’ll need a standard LS timing cover gasket set and an LS timing cover alignment tool to complete your installation.
