Details
These kits include our gasser straight front axle, semi-elliptical springs, spindles, king pins, steering arms, tierod kit, brake kit, and hardware. Choose either 5 on 4-1/2" or 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern with standard brake kit or Wilwood brake kit. Standard brake kits use new rotors and GM metric style calipers. Wilwood brake kit includes dual-drilled hub. Brake lines not included. Shocks not included, but shock mounts are included. Assembly required.

Note: Wilwood brakes increase hub-to-hub width by 1/2".
-Wilwood brake kit will not work with ET gasser wheel 91058673. The Wilwood kit only comes with 1/2" studs for both the 5x4.5 and 5x4.75 bolt pattern. If you would like to use the 5x4.75 pattern, you will need to source a set of screw in 7/16" wheel studs.

This has been a great project. 1957 BELAIR two door wagon with a LS 383 stroker and a B&M ;400 turbo. And now a gasser straight axel. It can't get any better than that!

Awesome kit. I already had a front clip with a dropped axle and altered wheelbase, but it wasn't ideal for street use. This kit allowed me to use the custom front clip I already had, and install this axle kit directly to it. Perfect fit. A little measuring and some welding and we're well on our way to making our 66 Chevy II gasser tribute a fun street car.

The straight axle gasser king pin boss was warped from the welding. Using a wheel cylinder hone I managed to get the pin to fit. The boss on one side also was not true to the opposite side. Driver's side measured at 5.5 degrees and passenger side at 4.2 degrees. I spit the deference. There were not enough shims to get the steering knuckle's with in the permissible tolerance of no more than .006 inch. Tried to order more shims but are on back order. Made my own from shim stock. So far so good.

I have this kit with the standard chevy brake package. I am looking for recommendations for a master cylinder setup for a 1955 chevy belair. I would like to convert to power brakes and keep the unit as compact as possible. Continuing to use drum brakes in the rear for now. Thank you.

What steering box do you recommend with this kit? I am putting it in a 63 nova. And are there any other "missing" components aside from the frame rails and support bars from firewall, in comparison to the complete setup for the nova gasser kit. Hope that makes sense? Thanks

I bought a front axle kit (Part # 9103948-4 3/4) a while back... Built a sub frame and installed the kit on my 1955 Chevy with no problem.... Had to order a Tie Rod/Drag Link (Part # 91632511) to the required length (I think 35 inches)... Used a mock up engine with a regular size oil pan during build up.... All was working out just great until I installed the engine (SB) with an 8 quart oil pan.... The Link hits the oil pan and I do not see any way to fix it... Do not want to change the oil pan.... Will void the warranty on the Engine.... Is there a rack and pinion Kit that would work with this axle assembly???? One that might mount forward of the axle or lower so it does not contact the oil pan???

Hello, I just bought a 1965 Rambler American 220. I saw an artical on line where your gasser front end was used with a 4'' drop. They did not give product # for the kit. Could you tell me what Kit I would need? Also would be installing a SBC in place of the in-line six. would need some type of motor mounts. Thank You.
