This polished, cast aluminum oil pan replaces your original Turbo 400 automatic transmission pan. Aluminum fins provide more cooling than stock-type steel pans.

This Turbo 400 transmission pan includes drain plug, bolts and gasket.

Nice Quality and Workmanship

This looks like a well made pan and the price was good. I had planned to put it on a 1970 GTO and the shift cable bracket that bolts along side the transmission pan, was too wide to use with this pan. The bolt holes are too close to the sidewall of the pan. That's why it comes with smaller head allen bolts.

Did not fit

I not the most knowledgeable about these vehicles, my chevy is older than me. But the pan that was sent was not deep enough for my TH400. I asked a chevy tech and he said they did make two sizes but when I call around (chevy and aftermarket) I am told there is only one size pan for this transmission.

a wonderful kit! Bolts up like it should with provided hardware, 6MM hex head if anyone is wondering. Used with supplied gasket aided by the right stuff rtv and no leaks! Looks awesome and is doing what its supposed to do. Also note that I did have to clean up some minor casting flash, but thats not something I will be negative about.

The description says Cast aluminum, how think is the cast part? Think enough to drill and tap a temp sensor hole you think?

Hi: I have a '66 Riviera with the switch pitch converter. The manual refers to this as am ST400 as opposed to a TH400. I think they are largely the same. The factory pan has some extruded sections (for lack of a better term). Will this fit? Thanks, Paul

I don't know what year my transmission is. The pan hits the bolt that holds the filter. If I remove the bolt and the filter, the pan still hits the plastic pick up tube. The original pan is definitely deeper. I like the pan and I want to use it.Any ideas? I purchased the T Bucket as a running car.

Pan does not clear filter I received this pan for my turbo 400 transmission cleaned up all the old gasket, applied a thin coat of sealant to the pan, installed the gasket and when I put it up to the transmission it won't seat against the transmission .It is hitting the filter .more so in the front where the filter attaches to the pick-up tube? I am not sure of the year of the tramnsmission ,the bolt pattern is correct .I went to the local salvage yard and removed a pan from a 1972 Chevrolet and check the length of the pick-up tube and was the same as mine. Do I have to modify the tube.

Is this compatible with/for a 1969 TH400 on an Olds? Original steel pan is on it and weeps/leeks a fair amount and new gasket does not fix, only slows it for a short time. I have "heard" this is the fix, any input to that?
