I purchased the regular spring perches and they did not work right. Then purchased the adjustable perches and the instalation went great.. The car has not been driven yet, but hope the performance is as pleasing as the instalation. The adjustable perch allows caster to be added without tweeking the shackles.

These spring perches were indispensable to my Rat Rod project. Using a Model TT truck frame and a '34 Ford front end, I had no way to determine the proper Caster. I know it needs to be 5 to 7 degrees, but HOW? Until I built the frame, had the final wheel/tire combo on the ground with the drive train and body weight creating the final spring loading, there was no possible way to estimate the precise finished stance. I couldn't leave the front cross member loose so it could rotate and weld it up later because I needed that cross member welded securely to help square the frame. SAVED by the adjustable spring perches. Since they will allow the spring to rotate freely, now when I am entirely done I can simply set the proper caster angle in as a final step and bolt/ weld up the split wishbone plates. One further advantage: I was concerned about trying to build a "spring spreader" to install the front spring. With the adjustable perches in place with the 2 nuts just started, there was NO tension on the spring, so I just tightened each nut down a little at a time going back and forth, and that spread the spring automatically.

Can you please help....I have tightened up fully with supplied lock nut yet they still swivel, is this how they should operate or should they lockup tight to avoid any movement as commented ? Thanks

What is the length of the area from shoulder to beginning of threads? My total thickness of wishbone and axle is 3 3/4 ". Will they work for me?

I am building the Model A to 1934 Ford 48 Inch I-Beam Axle Radius Rod Kit - Ford Spindle Part # 91639508 I changed from radius rods to wishbones. We installed them using these spring perches. The top is tapered which is fine, but the bottom is also tapered. So as a temp we used a flat washer since we are just dry fitting right now. My question is there a special tapered bolt I need to fit up in there or a tapered washer to fit in there before the bottom bolt is installed.
