Speedway Motors 80292440 Details

This Ford C-4 driveshaft slip yoke measures 6.5" from the center of the U-joint cup to the front end of the yoke. Fits transmissions with 28 spline tailshafts. Accepts 1310 style U-joints (popular Chevy) with 1-1/16" cups and a spread of 3-7/32".

 

Note: Due to the length of the yoke, it will fit C4 transmissions ONLY, and is not recommended for use on an AOD transmission. The expressed measurement or length of the slip yoke is taken from the center of the u-joint to tip, not overall.

This should be able to handle the torque it will be receiving was a much heavier steel I plan to buy another for the next couple of builds I have planned

Poor machine work

Took this yoke to a driveline shop to make my drive shaft but the 1310 u-joints did not work because the spread was too wide. When u-joints were installed each cap was 1/16" below the clips, so we could not use this yoke. Also, something is wrong with the spline as this splines had to be forced into the transmission. Will contact speedway for credit.

My current yoke was about 1 1/2" to short. It was in only 1" at full extended suspension. Which it made it really lose.
