Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the product's self-sufficiency with its own power source, making it a great aid for timing Harley motorcycles, and particularly convenient for users whose battery sources are distant. Praised as a practical daily tool in the workshop, this product has earned its worth over years of use despite needing shade in bright sunlight to clearly see the strobe light. It is deemed reliable and cost-effective, making it an essential addition to any toolbox. Its practicality spans from pit work to shop use for setting timing on modified dirt vehicles. Some users however, find its light intensity weak and not adequate for brightly lit conditions. Despite these drawbacks, its setup simplicity and overall functionality got users recommending it as a worthy purchase.

It's great because it has it own power supply, because my hot rod battery is 8' away! And I use it when I time a Harley it also works great because of it own battery supply, I always use to because I use to connect my old timing to the bike battery but because of the vibration shorted out against the frame . Not good.

Light works great. Batteries last for years with only occasional use. Does require a piece of cardboard overhead as a shade in bright sunlight to clearly see strobe light. I have used this model for many years and drug induction wire onto hot header pipe...done! I am buying same unit to replace ruined one.

I was really hoping for a bright light that ran on its on batteries, as my car batteries on the race car are in rear. This one will work for timin in a shadow or darkened area acceptably, but not in brighter daylight, so it will work to a degree. It says it can be used as a flashlight also, but not really as the thin beam is too dim. I am okay with my purchase.
