Fel-Pro 1094 Details

These Fel-Pro gaskets work with both cast iron and aluminum heads. Pre-flattened steel wire ring gaskets have the strength of steel wire sealing with minimum brinelling of aluminum heads. Pre-flattened copper wire ring gaskets will not brinell aluminum heads. They offer superior heat dissipation. Multi-layer steel gaskets offer current leading-edge technology and provide a long-term, leakproof seal called Perma Torque MLS.

  • Gaskets are sold each
  • Embossed shim
  • 4.100" gasket bore
  • Nominal compression thickness: .015"
  • Compressed volume: 3.2 cc
  • Not for use with small block 400. Extra thin to increase compression.
  • When using aluminum heads, we recommend gaskets with soft copper wire rings (such as 344-1010). This ensures that the aluminum head is not "scarred" by the combustion seal. Shim style 344-1094 will also work well with aluminum heads.

Needed a special gasket and got it!

Shim head gaskets are not popular. But offer advantages to the engine builder because they are thin. One can obtain minimum quench with minimum decking and of course they can be shacked. I needed a specific dimension and the folks at Speedway gladly researched the gasket and emailed me back promptly. great experience and I have my part.

A great product

One star rating due to shipping catastrophe. They used a box which was too short to accommodate the head gasket length so they simply folded the steel shim gasket as to fit the box. Not good for proper head gasket sealing to have fold marks in the gasketing metal. Returned product for refund

Head gaskets worked good. The only thing one will need to remember is to re-torque the head bolts after the first heat cycle!! I re-torqued my head bolts for a 3rd time just to be safe!!
