I bought this for a 396 that was having some issues. Found out the engine was junk. built another engine and Wow was this carb responsive. No bog, no stumble, just bolt on and smash the throttle. Idle is smooth, power is smooth and consistent. Now I built a bigger CID engine, and bought the 800 cfm big brother. Hoping it works just as good as the 650 did.

installed the carb and had to re-adjust the idle setting located under the carb , it was originally idling at 1200 rpr , way to fast for the street , once it was adjusted it rn fine

The carburetor came with good instructions and it went right on. Rebuilding a 57 Chevrolet and the old carburetor had been on for 20 years And had a bad Excelerator pump among other things. Now it runs like a scolded cat . I'm hoping the mileage increases but I'm very happy and glad I got it.
