I had only to drill a hole in the top of my ammo box that I mounted in my car in place of a console. Then I bolted the cup holder down with a 3/8" coarse thread bolt, washer and nut. The head of the bolt needed to be recessed a bit, so I cut a piece of closed-cell foam and cut a hold in the middle to allow the foam to cover the bottom around the bolt head.
