HOW IT WORKS:

The computer measures the amount of effort on the steering wheel and amplifies it with the aid of the electric motor. An adjustable POTENTIOMETER gives you control over the amount of assistance provided, allowing you to fine tune your EPAS experience. For example, you can have maximum power assist while on a parking lot, and less on the highway. The system is only active while turning. The GPS AUTO ADJUST option will do the same thing automatically based on your vehicles speed.

Studebaker used two different shaft sizes and column tube sizes back in the day. Part 6001 is not a one-size-fits-all kit. We make two kits; 6001 is for 7/8" shafts and part 6002, for 3/4" shafts. There are other kits like this, as well. It's no big deal - comes with the territory. We are used to contacting customers to find out the specifics before we ship out an incorrect kit.
