I had to extend the rod approximately 1/8 inch to engage my original door latches. The rod retainer is milled approximately 1/8 deeper than the original setting it too deep. I also had to slot my original drivers door hole to accommodate the new handle. The chrome looks really nice and feel like a well made part.
