The fit was good everywhere except in the curved area below and to the rear of the hood hinge. Have a 1/2" gap between the new panel and the existing panel where the spot welds are. I can make it work but will have to split the panel in the curve and remove metal to close the gap

I haven't finished installing yet but the part fits better than my original part, my truck is a very early build 47 GMC five window and looks like a prototype rough fit and finish it has a mid two digit serial number. This a good part for a good price.
