I purchased from speedway the right and left lower fender Dynacorn repair panels for my 65 GMC. I already had one that I purchased from a different vendor but also from Dynacorn. As soon as I took them out of the box, I knew something was wrong. I compared them to the panel I currently have (which is unmolested) The first issue I noticed was that the weight was drastically different, (lighter) 1lb 11oz- vs,-2 lbs 8.50 oz. I had them weighed at the post office. Right out of the box, there was a ding in one of the panels. No way was this going on my truck. The fender well contour lines were also off. The amount of steel used as a lip at the bottom was different by 1/2 inch. Both carry the Dynacorn sticker but the one from Speedway also carries a CHL sticker whereas the one that I currently own which also carries the Dynacorn sticker also carries a TRI PLUS sticker. Maybe that's the difference, maybe I need to track down a tri-plus panel which is made in Mylasia. I called Speedway, explained the problem, and everyone I spoke with was understanding and professional. I sent the bad parts back and my money was refunded. The big problem here is that these junk panels are still available through Speedway and other vendors. NO ONE removes them from inventory and NO ONE checks fit, finish, or quality control before shipping. Inventory is purchased en mass and your order is picked and shipped. The issue I had was just one in a long line of setbacks we as gearheads have come to accept ever since reproduction parts took the trip overseas. For some reason (please correct me if I'm wrong) I believe true customer satisfaction would be if someone at Speedway would have been assigned to look into this matter, find the company that produces an accurate part, and send it to me. Then, and only then, would I consider being part of the Speedway family.
