    Overall Assessment

Customers affirm the high quality and reliable performance of our shifter cable. Although not an exact fit for those seeking to maintain an OEM appearance, the product serves as a good replacement for various cars, including a '69 Camaro. Some users mentioned the need to modify certain elements for a perfect fit, such as the floor seal and clips, but these were minor issues. Overall, the shifter cable performs excellently and is recommended for gearheads who prioritize function over original aesthetic.

As an old gray headed gearhead, I expect good quality and service and the team Speedway meets my expectations.

This replacement cable is a good replacement. Not entirelyaccurate for those who are keeping their cars as close to OEM as possible. For my 69 Camaro, the issues are that the floor seal on the replacement is larger and has two pre-drilled holes for mounting screws. Originally the seal is held in place with three "tangs", molded into the rubber. I was able to carefully swap the seals. There is a clip that fits onto the stud on both ends of the shifter. You get one in the kit, but the kit has a different setup for the end at the transmission. You can find these clips separately. Lastly, the hard external tube the cable is in does not extend to the ends like original. All of these are minor issues but they are notable if you are a nut for maintaining original look and feel. Actual performance of the shifter is good and reliable.
