    When you install these, you will notice that the U-bolts do not rest against the sides of the leaf springs. Unlike the OEM plates, these U-bolt holes are too far apart (left to right). Again, this means that the U-bolts do not sandwich the leafs and can't help keep the leafs in place nor ensure that the snubber stays centered under the spring eye. It's all left to the U-bolts to do that. Why was this done? Perhaps to fit cars with wider leaf springs? Don't know. My solution? I welded a 2 lengths of angle-iron on each plate to cradle or sandwich the leaf springs. I had to measure several times to make sure that the snubber was in its proper place under the spring eye before striking the arc. Still, I am satisfied. I believe that these are the best slapper-type traction bars on the market. Pricey, but I chose to buy them. I didn't expect the issue above, though! Good luck.
