This chrome plated steel cover slides over a stock oil filter to add a little something extra to your engine compartment. An allen head set screw on the back of the filter holds this cover in place and snug against your oil filter so it wont vibrate loose.

This is an inexpensive item that increases the "shine" when showing off your engine. It is a little tricky to install on a small block ford due to the angle of the oil filter but if you slip the cover on the filter it fits snug enough to start installing the filter. Final tightening of the filter requires slipping the cover back far enough to put a strap wrench on the actual filter to tighten then sliding the cover home and setting the allen screw. A more expensive alternative would be to install a filter repositioning kit for vertical filter fitment then the cover could be left off until the filter was completely tightened and then installed. My install is on a 65 Ranchero and space is limited so I have to be creative when installing the cover.
