  •  Mechanical advance only (no vacuum advance)
  •  Comes with drive gear installed

This is a "ready to run" distributor. It does not require a multi spark box.

Use coil number 447-45001 (1.5 OHM). If using with a lower resistance coil than 1.5 OHM, you must use a ballast resistor to achieve the 1.5 OHM rating.

I have would like an electronic distributor to run in a '54 235. The engine I'm building will use the higher compression "848" head casting and 261 camshaft, but will be otherwise stock -- no multi-carb, split manifold, etc. Without the vacuum advance, how well will this perform in a more or less "stock" type of "daily driver" engine which will see much more light-throttle driving than WOT?

Is this an HEI distributor? Hi, is this an HEI distributor with the coil built in or not? I'm confused, it says ready to run and then it is recommending a coil. And, I assume the green wire is for the tach, so then I assume the coil is built in?
