CT525 Rear Main Seal Cover Modified for Use with Sprint Car Rear Drive Spud

When adding the standard sprint car rear drive spud that is driven from the LS engine’s camshaft, the rear main seal cover must be modified via a special machining process. This process allows the newly installed drive spud to pass through the rear main seal cover. The stock rear main seal cover is removed and then the rear of the camshaft is drilled and tapped to accept the drive spud (which drives the sprint car’s fuel and power steering pumps). Then this modified cover is installed, allowing the drive spud’s seal surface to seal against the newly installed lip seal in the modified rear cover that is installed.
