It's a great piece. However, if there was not a radius where the base meets the threaded cylinder it could also be mounted from inside of the valve cover. A perhaps better looking option.

This was exactly what I was looking for.

I was looking for a simple solution to add a oil fill tube on a set of welded aluminum valve covers and this was the ticket. It is well made and installation was straight forward and simple. Only suggestion I can make is to add a gasket, as this unit sits on the surface of the valve covers and if they are not perfectly flat, that could create a seeping issue. I would also add this product as purchased, would not work on ribbed valve covers. However, an adapter could be made with a flange and down tube, so it could be used. Would just need a means to seal the down tube.
