I finally got around to installing this item on my former ATT bucket truck and was shocked at the quality of the product. I expected something flimsy with a barely visible light. What I found when I opened the package was a solid hunk of metal _and_ all of the screws. (Come on, how many times have you ordered something like this and found the package missing half of the screws?) Once I got it hooked up I found the light to be quite bright, not some dim little bulb.

I bought this plate holder to mount on my RV ladder so my bikes don't block the license plate. I connected the live wire to the tail light. The light in the plate holder would intermittently work so ran a my own neutral wire to the plate, now it works fine. There is a gap in the plate holder so the live wire doesn't get pinched between the plate and the holder. Unfortunately the gap is not large enough for the existing to make it trough without this happening. The first time I installed it it shorted out the taillight fuse. Be sure to make gap bigger first.
