I bought this to cut long strips of metal in arcs — works great for that. I installed a couple of posts into the frame of the shear to act as guides. I got tired of the loosey-goosey ratchet handle, so I drilled snd tapped the end of the square lug so the handle could be secured with a bolt and fender washer. I think that I'll replace it with a hand-wheel.
