    Details

Our economical 9" Ford rear axle housing features a reclaimed center section, new 3" axle tubes, and new-style Ford ends. Total track width is 56" from hub-to-hub.   The pumpkin is centered in the housing, which puts the pinion offset 1-5/8" from center.

Includes a set of Currie 31-spline heat-treated, forged alloy axle shafts. Wheel bolt patterns are dual drilled for 5 on 4 1/2" Ford and 5 on 4 3/4" Chevy, and an access hole is drilled. Axles come with a full installation package which includes one set of five 1/2"-20 Ford style wheel studs, one set of five 7/16"-20 Chevy style wheel studs, one set-20 tapered roller bearing with race, seal, & collar, and one heavy duty late model large bearing style retainer plate. Axle bearing does not come pressed onto the axle shaft, and wheel studs are not installed.

    Overall Assessment

Our product receives high acclaim for its quality and superb value for money. Many customers emphasized the product’s practical usability, with the clean housing ends facilitating effortless welding. The product's material quality - particularly the robust Currie brand axles - were praised. However, it’s noted that the product may not be suitable for those seeking a show quality due to minor pitting in some units. Despite minor issues like the need for adjustments and the addition of washers as spacers, customers find the product satisfactory, reasserting that they would repurchase and highly recommend it. The product consistently exceeds expectations, substantiating its superiority over competitor's offerings.

not sure what or where the problem is, received the housing and axles then welded the 4-link brackets then installed third member #91048345. its been sitting on jack stands until yesterday when I filled it with gear oil and installed the wheels and tires. by the time I finished the tires there was a 3in puddle of gear oil. the gasket was new and the bolts are tight...now I get to remove the thing and find the cause. kinda sure I'm not happy

Very clean housing ends. Only problem which doesnt matter too much is the center seems to be a casting and has pits in it. Not show quality but could be if worked a little. Axles are Currie brand. Im still welding up my 4 link brackets but everything seems to be very nice.

Tubes aren't welded true and level so adjustments have to be made when welding on brackets. Housing badly pitted and weld spatter all over. Not a diff. For a show quality car. Axles advertised as without bearings pressed on but come all together so plates need cut off for some brake applications. Should use open plates.

As noted the housing comes with a pumpkin gasket but does it come with the retaining studs as well and does it come with the tee bolts for the axle flanges too? And if so does it also include the required nuts and copper washers?
