i bought this housing complete with axles and a posi equipped 3rd member. From the quality of the other suspension pieces i ordered from Speedway, I was not surprised by how nice this unit looks. The welds are gorgeous and after minor grinding this thing is ready to paint and install. I won't have to tell my friends how good it is...they'll be able to see it under my model A.

I purchased two of your cut to fit axles to go along with this rear axle housing. However upon installing them I found that the bearing retainer plate was being held about a quarter of an inch away from the flange on the housing by the bearing. I even tried removing the third member and installing the axles to make sure that wasn't the issue. The bearing and race are fully seated in the housing but I cannot get the retaining plate to make contact with the housing. Both products state that they use the new style big Ford bearing so I'm not sure where the compatability issue comes in.

Sorry to bother you again, I have another question, I am building a 1932 Grafitti coupe and was told to use a 56" rearend housing, but I am confused on ordering as it says to measurements and I am not sure which is right. Item # 910-46100 says 51" from flange to flange and 56" from axle hub to axle hub. Now I am not sure what 56" they were talking about when they told me to use a 56" rearend, if this makes sense ????

In the description it lists the pinion as centered. However in the notes it says:" the pumpkin is centered leaving the pinion offset." Which one is it? If it is offset how far and which direction is it offset?
