BTR is proud to introduce these new editions to our already impressive lineup of Gen V camshafts.
The new Gen V STAGE 3 TURBO 3-BOLT camshaft was designed for use in aggressive L83 and Street Strip L86/LT1 combos using small twin 58-6X mm or single turbos in the 80-88mm range. This camshaft offers an aggressive idle with great midrange and top end capability.
Unlike other kits that require expensive aftermarket cam cores and timing covers to eliminate the VVT phaser & solenoid, we designed this kit to allow the use of a special cam sensor designed to work with the OEM timing cover available in our 3 BOLT VVT LOCKOUT KIT, which allows you to use this specially machined 3 bolt Gen V camshaft with an LS3 cam gear and retain the factory Gen V VVT front cover. Stock ECUs will have limitations, see cam card. Some wire connector trimming is required; see instructions.
- The use of BTR dual spring kits is required. We also recommend the use of hardened pushrods in power adder applications.
- Requires the use of an aftermarket converter for best drivability and acceleration.
- Includes a +38% fuel lobe.
For aftermarket ECU options, you can use the long BTR conversion sensor BTR-GVCAMSNSR and retain OEM LT Front cover.
For stock & aftermarket ECU options, you should purchase this camshaft & an LS3 cam gear, and use the OEM short GM camshaft position sensor and a VVT-Delete style front cover.
