This unit allows nearly any electric speedometer to use free GPS signals to drive the speedometer. No more cables, no more calibration drives. If you've got an Auto Meter electronic speedometer, it's a plug and play solution. Calibration on non-Auto Meter speedometers takes about 10 seconds and doesn't require driving. The Module uses the fastest possible GPS technology for truly seamless functionality.

It was easy to mount but it is on an unfinished project. I over twice the amount for it as for another product of the same type because both the wiring and the antenna disconnect from the module. It better work.

This is the way to go. This unit marries up with just about every electric speedo. I wired it per instructions (very easy) and started down the road with the most accurate speed indication ever. No wait, it was instant. Calibration was a snap. Very happy with the final result.

This GPS works great, but not with Stewart Warner wings speedo. I tried every combination of calibration, talk to Auto Meter, Stewart Warner, and Speedway tech nothing worked had to buy Auto Meter 1779 speedo to come close to matching the S-W speedo and gauges. Use only the calibration instructions and button that come with the speedo. The antenna/ sensor works great no matter where I put it in the my car even under the dash or under the seat, but every car is different so experiment with placement.

I am thoroughly pleased with my new Auto Meter 5289 GPS Sending Module. It was simple to install - no cumbersome cables from the transmissiion to mess with. And it is dead accurate! It is a little more expensive, but well worth the money.
