Speedway Motors 1170810 Details
Aluminum rod ends are a close tolerance, 3-piece, medium duty design. Hard anodized 7075-T6 aerospace quality aluminum body. Heat treated, 5210 precision ground ball, Kevlar race. Self lubricating Teflon liner seals out dirt and debris.
Applications: Designed for motorsports application where weight is critical. All of the strength & features of the Precision rod ends at half of the weight.
Assembly Tip: To ease assembly, be sure to run a tap or die through the threads on chrome plated fasteners and apply an anti-seize compound to prevent galling of the threads.

Replaced all of my steering rod ends with these, the aluminum allows the failure to be on the cheaper easily replaced components in a crash, with sprint car costs being what they are, I'd prefer to replace as little as possible.

what is the range of adjustment ? How much length does each rod end add to the tube when fully inserted? What's the minimum insertion and how much does it add to tube length at minimum insertion? This is for extra chassis bracing on street car; not for suspension or steering on a race car. Thanks
